পরপর কন্যাসন্তান জন্ম দেওয়ার 'অপরাধে' খুন (Woman murdered for giving birth of a girl child)

এই একুশ শতকে দাঁড়িয়ে আমরা 

যতই মেয়েদের নিরাপত্তা নিয়ে কথা 

বলি আসলে এখনও মেয়েরা 

সেই নিরাপত্তাহীনতার মধ্যেই 

রয়েছে|  আজকের দিনে যখন 

নারীরা পুরুষদের থেকেও অনেক  

ক্ষেত্রে এগিয়ে যাচ্ছে, সেখানে এমন 

একটি ঘটনা শুধু নিন্দনীয়ই নয়, 


দুৰ্ভাগ্যজনকও বটে|  বলতে খারাপ লাগছে যে ঘটনাটি আমাদের ভারতেই থুড়ি আমাদের এই 

পশ্চিমবঙ্গেই ঘটেছে|  মুর্শিদাবাদের সাগরদিঘি থানার বাসিন্দা সুমিত্রা মন্ডল এর আগে দুটি

কন্যাসন্তানের জন্ম দিয়েছিলেন|  তখন  থেকেই তার উপরে শারীরিক ও মানসিক অত্যাচার শুরু করে

তার শ্বশুরবাড়ির লোকজন|  বাপের বাড়ি থেকে টাকা আনার জন্য চাপ দেয়া হতে থাকে|  বেশ

কয়েকবার বাপের বাড়ি থেকে টাকা এনে শ্বশুরবাড়ির লোকেদের হাতে দিয়েছিলেন

সুমিত্রা|  তৃতীয়বার কন্যাসন্তান হতেই শশুর বাড়ির লোকেরা অত্যাচারের পরিমান বাড়িয়ে দেয়, আরো

 বেশি টাকা নিয়ে আসতে বলে| সেই প্রস্তাবে রাজী না হওয়ায় নয় মাসের ঘুমন্ত শিশু সহ সুমিত্রা

কে কেরোসিন ঢেলে নৃশংসভাবে পুড়িয়ে মারলো তার শ্বশুরবাড়ির  লোকজন| মাস তিনেক আগে

সুমিত্রা কে তার বাপের বাড়ি থেকে ৫০ হাজার টাকা আনার জন্য চাপ দিতে থাকে তার স্বামী তাপস,

সুমিত্রা রাজি হন নি|  এই নিয়ে অশান্তি চরমে ওঠে|  গত রবিবার সকাল যা তাকে মারধর করা

হয়| তাতেও রেহাই পান নি সুমিত্রা| সন্ধ্যাবেলা যখন কোলে করে নয় মাসের মেয়েকে নিয়ে শুয়ে

ছিলেন, তখন বিছানায় কেরোসিন ঢেলে আগুন লাগিয়ে বাইরে থেকে দরজা বন্ধ করে পালিয়ে যায়

 শ্বশুরবাড়ির লোকজন| গোটা ঘর দাউদাউ করে জ্বলতে থাকে| বাচ্চাকে কোলে নিয়ে চিৎকার করতে

 থাকেন সুমিত্রা| তাদের চিৎকার শুনে প্রতিবেশীরা তাদের উদ্ধার করে হাসপাতালে ভর্তি

করেন| সেখানে চিকিৎসকরা তাদের মৃত বলে ঘোষণা করেন| ঘটনার পর থেকে তার স্বামী ও

শ্বশুর-শ্বাশুড়ী পলাতক|


In this 21st century we always talk about safety of girls. Now a days women have done more progress than men in some fields. But today I am going to share a news. I feel ashamed of, cause this thing happened in India and in our state West Bengal. A women named Sumitra Mondal and her nine months old child has been killed by her husband and in-laws. The reason behind this murder is that Sumitra become pregnant for three times and she gave birth of 
a girl child each time. After first two times her in-laws tortured her physically and mentally. In-laws forced her to giving money to them. She took money from her parents and gave that money to her in-laws twice. Before three months when she gave birth of her third girl child, her husband and in-laws again forced her to giving 50000 rupees to them. She ignored that. last Sunday morning she was beaten by the in-laws. in that day evening she was sleeping with her nine years old child. Then her husband and in laws put the bed on fire and locked the door from outside and leave the house. When neighbors hospitalized them, they were already dead. Her husband and in-laws are still missing.
